14-07-06  Bike Totaal opts for Easy Order®
Hoofddorp, 31 May 2006 – Bike Totaal and e-Buzz have concluded an agreement to supply the Internet order system Easy Order. Six Bike Totaal shops will soon start using Easy Order in a pilot project.

Easy Order is linked to the shops’ till systems and accurately follows the purchasing process. Easy Order collates purchase orders on a central website and forwards them in the electronic format required by the supplier. The suppliers participating in the pilot project are AGU, Gazelle and Shimano. Once the suppliers have received the purchase orders, they can send back packing slips and invoices electronically via Easy Order.

Apart from exchanging electronic messages, the shops can also consult the suppliers’ product range on the Internet and possibly make special purchases. An evaluation will take place at the end of 2006 and a decision will be taken whether to roll out Easy Order to all Bike Totaal shops and Bike Totaal contract suppliers.

Gertjo Janssen, director of Bike Totaal, has high expectations of the system: “This marks a new phase in the collaboration between the manufacturer and retailer. The system has great potential; it is user-friendly and makes life easy for both our shops and our suppliers. Using this system will ensure that we take another significant step in our chain integration.
